Our seniors were able to make up with a smile as we distributed breakfast complete with coffee donated by our local McDonald’s Canada (Mississauga, Ontario). Thank you so much to the wonderful staff and ownership at McDonalds, 44 Bristol Road East in Mississauga.
A RAY OF HOPE
Seniors at Forum Italia Senior’s Residence and Villa Forum LTC. gathered outside to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air and wonderful musical entertainment provided by Zingaro of Baci Entertainment and Laura Tonelli. Although we all have to adjust to a new normal, we can continue to bring joy and happiness to those most in need. This day truly brought lots of smiles to our isolated seniors.
CELIA BIRTHDAY
We were honoured to be in the presence of the up and coming star Roberta Battaglia who came out to celebrate a milestone birthday and to entertain our seniors. It was wonderful to see the seniors dancing from their windows and in our parking lot. Roberta continues to touch and move everyone’s heart with her amazing personality. Look out for Roberta on AGT – America Has Talent on Tuesday May 26th, 2020. MICBA is behind her all the way and we are all routing for her.
MADE WITH LOVE
Masks for all Campaign is a group of 50 people, young and old from Huron Park Italian Seniors Club that have come together to sew masks for the community. They have graciously donated 100 masks to Villa Forum Long Term Care Home and MICBA Forum Italia Community Services. Special thanks to all for their hard work and dedication to serving their community during COVID-19.

DONATION TO HELP OUR SENIORS
On Friday, Villa Forum Long Term Care Home and MICBA Forum Italia Community Services received a generous donation of tablet computers to help keep our seniors connected with their family and loved ones. COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER
Today we saw community come together to deliver delicious fresh bread donated by our local COBS Bread to all our senior residents. Along with our generous bread donation we were also able to deliver COVID-19 hampers of food donated from The Mississauga Foodbank for our seniors in need. Thank you again to all the staff, volunteers and community partners who came together to make all these seniors smile!
HAPPY EASTER
Spreading joy to our seniors this Easter weekend! Community love was felt here at Forum Italia as our seniors received donated hot chicken dinners from the Mississauga Convention Centre. This meal brought sheer happiness to over 80 seniors not being able to celebrate this blessed time with loved ones. We truly appreciate the hard work and collaboration of community coming together to serve our most vulnerable in a time of need. Special thank you to MPP Rudy Cuzzetto, Sri Dham Canada Food Bank, and MICBA Forum Italia Community Services staff.
Along with Easter meals our seniors also received a sweet treat, delicious Zeppole, a traditional Italian pastry symbolizing Spring is on the way. A special thank you to Irene’s Celebrity Cakes Inc., MICBA and Carmela M. Liparoti, thank you for always thinking of our seniors and spreading joy and love whenever you can.
