On Friday November 8th, 2024 Cav. Frank G. Trevisan was recognized by the National Congress of Italian Canadians for his contribution to the Region of Peel. Frank was one of the leaders in the creation of the Mississauga Italian Canadian Benevolent Association. Founded in 1987 the vision expanded to include Non-Profit Housing, Day Care, Independent senior living, and Long-Term Care. He gave a great deal of time over many years working with other board members to continue to keep high standards for the vision that is MICBA – all while running his own very successful business.

MICBA would also like to congratulate Roberta Battaglia in receiving the Youth Achievement Award.

We are thrilled to congratulate Carmela Liparoti on being awarded the Knight’s of Order St. Stanislas with Crown (KCStS) in recognition of her outstanding contributions to charity. The prestigious award was presented during the Annual Grand Gala of the Brilliant Minded Women Foundation on November 2nd, 2024. A heartfelt thank you to the CEO & Founder of Brilliant Minded Women Organization and the Grand Master of the Order of St. Stanislas for this well-deserved honour. Congratulations, Carmela, on this remarkable achievement!

On June 27th, 2024 – Cav. Carmela M. Liparoti was recognized for her contributions in the Mississauga Community with the Remarkable Citizen Awards Presented by MPP Deepak Anand, Mississauga-Malton.

On June 8th, 2024 – La Cultura Italiana presented by Fashion Circuit celebrated Mississauga’s 50th Anniversary and Italian Heritage Month. This event of fashion and everything Italian also honoured outstanding Italians in our Community, among those recognized for their contribution to the Mississauga Community were Cav. Frank . Trevisan – MICBA Chairman and Cav. Carmela M. Liparoti – MICBA President.
