Staff

All of our staff meets the province’s requirements for educational achievement. Every classroom has one teacher that is an RECE from the College of Early Childhood Education with good standing, accompanied by an additional staff that has either formal training in Early Childhood Education or equivalent training and experience. Each staff is trained in First Aid and CPR (including Anaphylaxis) and must submit a Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Screening check before commencing employment.

Our dietary staff is an important part of the staff team. Daily nutritious meals are prepared on site based on guidelines from Canada’s Food Guide and support from a registered dietician. Our cook is trained in food safety and holds a Food Handler Certificate. Our kitchen is also inspected regularly by the Health Department. We serve a hot breakfast, lunch and snack.

Raising of the Bar in Peel

Forum Italia Daycare participates in Raising of the Bar in Peel, a voluntary community standards program for early learning and child care programs in Peel. In our program, positive adult-child interactions are ongoing and staff work closely with the children to extend their learning by encouraging them to build upon their existing awareness and curiosity.
