About Us

Forum Italia Daycare is a unique child care facility licensed since September 1991 for 85 children ranging from 18-months to 12 years. We provide programs that are play-based and designed to support the care and development of young children, a program consistent with the Ministry of Education.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm

The Centre operates year-round with the exception of statutory holidays and one week for the holiday break between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Philosophy

Our philosophy and mission statement focuses on the whole child.

• We also believe in the development of a positive self-image, feeling of self-worth and value through positive caregiving, and stimulating activities that will promote emotional, physical, social and intellectual growth and development.
• We believe that the early stage of your child’s life is the foundation for lifelong learning.

In keeping with this philosophy, Forum Italia Daycare provides a high quality, supportive, family-centered program for young children in a warm, safe and responsive environment which is based on How Does Learning Happen and the Ontario Early Learning Framework. Children are actively involved in a variety of play and daily experiences designed to promote their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Having the guidance of qualified professional staff, we strive to provide a safe and happy atmosphere especially created to help each child develop to their full potential. Children develop to their optimum if their uniqueness is respected. We accept each child at their level and respect their individuality. A child who feels good about him/herself is a happy child. Our program is based on the theory that every child is an individual.
